Students spread a little festive cheer
On Christmas Eve, Stockport College staff donated some time to support their local community.
The Wellspring Centre supports those in need and those who have become homeless. A bright and friendly centre, the staff there dedicate their spare time to care about the local Stockport community.
Stockport College staff teamed up with Aldi Supermarkets to make sure The Wellspring Centre had enough food to support the needy over the Christmas period. Aldi in Heaton Chapel donated any fresh produce remaining in their store at the end of each day, and the College's Building Services Co-orinator, Mark Watson and Student Engagement Lead, Michelle McLaughlin delivered the vital supplies to The Wellspring Centre.
A team member at the Wellspring, Paul Cornwall commented, "Our local Stockport community support us very well over the Christmas period and we couldn't be more grateful. A small amount of time can make a big difference."
