The BTEC Higher National Certificate qualifications in Building Services Engineering is aimed at students who are looking to develop their career as a Building Services Engineer. Candidates are generally already working in technician roles or “on the tools” and this programme supports student’s development towards design, installation and management roles within the sector.
The Level 4 BTEC Higher National Certificate provides a solid grounding in construction and the built environment, vendor accredited certification and Professional Body membership, upon which students can build, should they decide to continue their studies beyond the Certificate stage.
For example, progression to the Level 5 BTEC Higher National Diploma allows students to specialise by committing to specific career paths and progression routes to a top-up at Level 6. In addition, the qualifications may provide links to industry-related and employer-supported apprenticeship schemes that can provide further opportunities for enhanced employability.
This is a two-year part time course with a one-day attendance per week. Or, a one-year full time course with a two-day attendance.
