The Level 2 Certificate in Nail Treatments is a substantial vocational qualification that will prepare you for a career as a nail technician. This is a vocational qualification and includes all the required elements to work effectively as a nail technician including, units covering the following: providing manicure and pedicure treatments, health and safety and client care and communication.
You will also have the opportunity to further develop your understanding and skills by taking part in maintaining nail enhancements and working with others.
You will get to work in a real beauty salon environment and working on real clients. You will be trained by our top Beauty experts; who have industry links and competition winners in World Skills.
Throughout this qualification you will develop your knowledge and understanding of relevant anatomy and physiology, health and safety, client care and nail products and equipment. You will also develop a range of technical skills enabling you to prepare and enhance the nails and cuticles on the hands and feet using different techniques. You will also develop interpersonal skills that will assist you to communicate effectively with clients.
Through completion of this course, you will be able to progress onto a Level 3 Diploma in Nail Services.
This qualification will prepare you for employment as a nail technician. You will also be eligible to join a professional association and gain insurance as a nail technician. Career opportunities as a nail technician exist in a variety of contexts, including:
– Working in a commercial nail or beauty salon.
– Working in a retail concession nail bar.
– Working independently/self-employed/mobile/home-based settings.
As part of this qualification you are required to produce a portfolio of evidence. A portfolio will confirm the knowledge, understanding and skills that you have learnt. It may be in electronic or paper format.

The Tuition fee for this course is ?471.00 You may be eligible for a full fee remission if you are in receipt of certain benefits or earning less than ?20,888 per annum (if residing within Greater Manchester)
