The course aims are:-
To introduce learners to cutting out and making up bought dressmaking patterns and encourage safe and efficient working practices
This course is suitable for complete beginners
Students will learn how to interpret bought dressmaking patterns, cut them out, and make them up using a range of dressmaking techniques

No formal qualifications are required

Learners will need to bring in their own pattern and fabric, as well as any haberdashery such as thread, zips and buttons. Suggested patterns include basic skirts, slip dresses or trousers, such as pyjama bottoms or joggers.

We recommend using New Look patterns, numbers – 6899,6843,6106

Upon completion of this course, learners can progress to an intermediate class

This is a practical course with no formal qualifications. Students will receive constructive criticism throughout the course.

The Tuition fee for this course is £75.00 You may be eligible for a full fee remission if you are in receipt of certain benefits or earning less than £20,888 per annum (if residing within Greater Manchester)
