This course in English as a Second Language will help you learn skills in Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing English. We offer courses at four levels: Entry 1, Entry 2, Entry 3 and Level 1. Your course tutor will introduce you to a range of language skills to help you communicate with others. There will be practical and theory lessons throughout the course to help develop your skills.
Our ESOL courses for young people provide a nationally recognised qualification. Alongside your English lessons, you will also study maths and employability.

These programmes provide a progression pathway if you need to improve your English Language to progress to mainstream studies or develop your employment opportunities.The tutors will help to improve your skills in speaking, listening, reading and writing which will in turn enhance your study/employment prospects.
Once you have successfully completed the qualification you can move onto the next level of ESOL or a mainstream vocational/academic course.
You will complete exams in:
Speaking and Listening
Reading
Writing.
This further education course is open to applications from 16–18-year-olds who are residents in the UK or the European Economic Area or have been for the last 3 years, subject to providing evidence of residency. You must be under 19 years old on 31st August in the calendar year you start your course, unless you are aged 19-23 and have an up-to-date EHCP.
