5 GCSEs at grades A* – C plus English and maths at grade 4 or a BTEC First Diploma in a related subject (plus GCSE maths and English at grade C or 4) and a successful interview.
The course is unit based and includes 7 mandatory units which are:

1. Exploring Business
2. Developing a Marketing Campaign
3. Personal and Business Finance
4. Managing an Event
5. International Business
6. Principles of Managament
7. Business Decision Making
There will be 6 additional units studied on the course over its 2 year duration:

Recruitment and Selection Process
Team Building in Business
Visual Merchandising
Work Experience in Business
Buying for Business
Supply Chain Operations

After successful completion of this course, you will be able to undertake a range of Business degrees or move directly into employment.

There is continual assessment for some of the units by vocational assignements leading to external quality assessment called National Standard Sampling.

Units 2, 3, 6 & 7 are assessed by a nationally set exam.

This further education course is free for all 16-18 year olds who are a resident in the UK and the European Economic Area or have been for the last 3 years. You must be under 19 years old on 31st August in the calendar year you start your course.
