Adult GCSE Programme
Not everyone enjoyed school and what was a struggle then, may not be so much of a struggle now. For many career routes it’s often necessary to have at least English and maths GCSE’s at C/4 or level 2 Functional Skills or above.
Retaking your GCSEs as an adult can be a challenge, you may have been out of learning for a long time and lost a lot of the skills and knowledge gained when you were at school. If you’re aged 19 and over and don’t already hold an English or maths GCSE grade C/4 or level 2 functional skills, you can study for your GCSE or Functional Skills qualification with us here at Stockport College.
GCSE English & Maths
Often seen as an entry qualification to many jobs or educational pathways for the future, English and Maths are cornerstone qualifications that are valued beyond many others in the world of work. Here, at the Trafford College Group, we will support you to gaining your GCSE grade 4 or above to enable you to access these opportunities in your life.
Functional Skills
Functional skills are employer driven and real world example based qualifications that are on par with GCSE in allowing access to opportunities for your own progression. Functional skills can be used as a stepping stone to GCSE if you aren’t quite ready for that level yet, or can be used as an equivalent qualification in its own right.
