Through a blossoming partnership between Debut College and Stockport, a cohort of Performing Arts and Dance students are set to make history this year, as they travel to attend and perform at the National Entertainment Awards.

On Sunday, the 7th November Debut College students will travel to Essex for an explosive red-carpet event of entertainment and award presentations as the best of Britain come together to discover who will be the awarded national recognition for the Best Performing Arts School in the region.

Having already been awarded The Best Performing Arts College in the North-West and West Midlands, Debut College are now in the finals for the regional category as well as having a number of students nominated for Best Solo Dancer. Performing Arts and Dance graduate Gina Blackburn is among one of the dancers to claim their spot as ‘Best Solo Dancer’ and is nominated for this category on the night.

The odds for Debut are looking favourable to secure the top spot, as last year saw Debut student Chloe Astley proudly achieve the ‘Best Solo Dancer’ in the North-West and Midlands.

Debut College students will be performing at the event as the current winners in the best Performing Arts College section. With support and direction from the phenomenal tutoring team, the cohort of students are already looking at costumes and choreography to make this showcase shine.
