Throughout this qualification, learners will develop their knowledge and understanding of relevant anatomy and physiology and health and safety. They will also develop the knowledge, understanding and skills to provide a wide range of creative make-up services in media, theatre, and fashion and photographic settings.
Learners will also style and fit hair pieces and apply false eyelashes as well as understand the related cosmetic science that underpins the subject. In parallel, learners will develop their communication and customer service skills, their awareness of environmental sustainability and their commercial skills, all of which are valued highly by employers. Problem solving and research skills will also be developed.
Minimum of 4 GCSE C grades or above, including English and maths.
You must have an interest in the make-up industry and must demonstrate an ability to communicate and follow the professional standards set by the awarding bodies.
You must be prepared to study the complete study programme, this includes maths and English and employability, enrichments and tutorials.

This course is also a direct route for any makeup artist wanting to extend their knowledge into Univeristy at degree level.
