In this course, you will learn how to create beautiful homemade jewellery using a variety of materials and also recycle some of your existing beaded jewellery items. You will examine current jewellery styles and influence and create unique pieces using proven techniques. As well as using different materials to create necklaces, bracelets and earrings, you will learn about the tools of the trade and the tricks to make professional looking jewellery that anyone will be proud to wear.
At the end of the class, you will be able to:-
Plan and design, identify and create, interesting pieces of homemade jewellery using a variety of techniques including, necklaces, bracelets and earrings. You will be able to identify current trends and how recycled jewellery can be incorporated into contemporary pieces of jewellery using specific tools.
What happens in the class?
There will be lots of different activities during the classes including plenty of opportunity to practice your skills. You will learn how to plan, source and assemble jewellery items and there will be opportunities to discuss ideas and review your creations. You will also examine a range of different materials and how these can be used according to the task that you have planned.
