BTEC Level 3 National Foundation Diploma in Health and Social Care is a one -year, full time course that gives a coherent study of the sector. It is intended as a Applied General qualification, and is equivalent in size to 1.5 A levels.
If a career in midwifery, social work, teaching or working as a paramedic appeals then this specialist course will give you an understanding of anatomy and physiology, communication, health and social care services, equality and diversity in the health and social care sectors. You will also complete placements and develop your understanding of health and safety, the lifespan of individuals and psychological/ sociological perspectives, preparing you to work in the health or social care sectors.
