The UK’s Creative Industries are worth £84.1 billion to the UK economy. Since 2011, visual arts has been one of the fastest growing areas of creative industry employment. The creative economy has grown by a quarter since 2011. Greater Manchester is now the second largest hub for creative and digital content after London. The new FdA Graphic Design programme is designed to best prepare students to enter an exciting and multidisciplinary industry. Over the two years, students will build knowledge and experience of design principles and the fundamentals which underpin the graphic designer of the past and present. Using this as a foundation, students apply creative thinking to real world design challenges, both in digital and in print.
