Applied Science BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma

Course Overview

This Top Up qualification will enhance your pre-existing knowledge of Biology, Chemistry and Physics, by focusing and assessing your skills and further developing your confidence in a range of scientific principles. You are required to have completed the Level 3 National Foundation in Applied Science in order to take this course, which will assist you in applying for further study at HE level or within industry.

Course Requirements

Completion of the Level 3 National Foundation Diploma in Applied Science.
An interview and assessment to confirm suitability for the course.

Course Skills & Benefits

Provides specialist work-related qualifications and allows progression onto University Degree courses. This Level 3 is equivalent to 3 A-levels.

Course Assessment

Assessment is by coursework assignments (including written and practical assignments, presentations, observations and special projects), you are required to work to deadlines for the completion of coursework through classroom based and independent study.

Course Finance

This further education course is free for all 16-18 year olds who are a resident in the UK and the European Economic Area or have been for the last 3 years. You must be under 19 years old on 31st August in the calendar year you start your course.
