Bricklaying Level 2 Diploma

Course Overview

This course is designed to better your understanding of the principles of building construction, how to produce thin joint masonry and building solid walls as well as isolated and attached pillars. You will develop good health and safety practices, learn how to interpret technical drawings, set out masonry structures and construct cavity walls to form masonry structures - all whilst learning to work with other trades.

To have successfully completed Level 1 Bricklaying.

Information and communication
Producing thin joint masonry and masonry cladding

Optional Units

There are no optional units on this qualification.

Course Progression

Successful completion of this qualification will provide you with the knowledge and skills required for either progression into employment or onto a Level 3 Bricklaying Course.

Course Assessment

The Level 2 Bricklaying requires you to demonstrate your knowledge and practical skills through a variety of practical assessment as well as multiple choice online and paper unit end tests.

Course Finance

This further education course is free for all 16-18 year olds who are a resident in the UK and the European Economic Area or have been for the last 3 years. You must be under 19 years old on 31st August in the calendar year you start your course.
