Activity Leadership - NVQ Level 2

Course Overview

If you want to work in leadership, this course will give you a range of practical skills to support your career. Covering the development of the sport or activity, setting up, taking down and storing activity equipment and checking and servicing activity equipment, you'll be sure to give clients a positive impression of yourself and your organisation.

Course Requirements

You will need 4 GCSEs at grade 3 or above including English and maths.

Course Skills & Benefits

The Level 2 NVQ in Activity Leadership will qualify you to run your own sessions as an activity leader in football, basketball, tennis, and other sports. You will be involved in coaching young people of different ages and this will contribute to you developing the skills required to be a successful sports leader.

Course Progression

Upon successful completion of the qualification you will be able to apply for the Level 3 Diploma in Sports Science (dependent on GCSE Profile), or a Level 3 course in Activity Leadership & Sports Development.

Course Assessment

You will be assessed on your practical ability to deliver safe and organised sessions and produce a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate your professional competence.

Course Finance

This further education course is free for all 16-18 year olds who are a resident in the UK and the European Economic Area or have been for the last 3 years. You must be under 19 years old on 31st August in the calendar year you start your course.
