AAT Professional Diploma in Accounting - Level 4

Course Overview

With the aim of attaining full membership to the AAT, this course would be suitable if you are working or intend to work in accounting in the future. It is beneficial to already be working in industry in order to complete this course.

Course Requirements

You must be aged 19+. You are expected to have achieved GCSE Maths and English at a grade C or above. You must have a merit at level 3 Accounting. You may be asked to complete an initial assessment to ensure your numeracy and literacy skills are sufficient to do well on the course. You must have a level 2 for both Maths and English to commence the programme.

Course Progression

Successful completion of this course gives you qualified status so you could set up your own accountancy practice if you choose. It can also lead onto professional accountancy qualifications such as those of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Institute of Chartered Accounts (ICA).

The roles you are qualified to perform after completing this qualification include Accounts Payable and Expenses Supervisor, Assistant Financial Accountant, Commercial Analyst, Cost Accountant, Fixed Asset Accountant, Indirect Tax Manager, Payment and Billings Manager, Payroll Manager, Senior Bookkeeper, Senior Finance Officer, Senior Fund Accountant, Senior Insolvency Administration, Tax Supervisor and VAT Accountant.
